About Us

My name is Armand Chabot, and I moved here to Greenville, SC some 13 years ago, due to my type of work. It was 5-years later that I met my sweetheart Kathy and its been a fantastic 8-years together. Kathy is a native of Spartanburg, SC.

When I was a boy, my dad had a woodshop in the basement where he would create furniture as a hobby. I learned the basics of all types of tools, and when in high school took wood shop. At that time, my heart was not into carpentry and soon had lost total interest in the art. I am now 56-years young and find myself suddenly enthralled with the hobby of making wood crafts and pens. I have purchased several power tools for that purpose that includes a lathe, table saw, miter saw, band saw, drill press, sander, and router.

I am now starting to make different types of things, including acrylic type pens. They are absolutely beautiful pens. I look for exotic wood to make my pen, like Cocobolo, Purpleheart,
Anigre, Zebrawood, Curly Maple, Birds Eye Maple,etc.. They come from Africa, South America,
Central America, India, Canada, and the USA. I make different types of pens. For example, I will
make a slimline ballpoint pen which is a thin style pen and the ladies adore them; also, the standard Twist Ballpoint Pen. This pen is approximately 5.25 inches long and has a standard pen diameter you find with most twist pens; then theres the Cigar style ballpoint pen which styled after the 'stogie' shaped cigar; and lastly the Fountain Pen, one of the oldest known pen around and is among the pen collector's most cherished pens.

My next creation is the acrylic type pens. They are made from acrylic type material and offer many types of beautifully colorful ballpoint pens, fountain pens, and slimstype pens.
